Advantages of laser hair removal at Vintage Dolls

Laser hair removal is an indispensable part of modern aesthetic body care, giving people the opportunity to get rid of unwanted hair and achieve smooth and perfect skin effortlessly. This innovative method of hair removal is preferred over traditional methods and has become a constant highlight in the world of beauty and self-care.

What are the main advantages over other traditional hair removal methods?

In laser hair removal, the main and biggest advantage is tied to people's most valuable resource, and that is the limited time we have. At first, the procedures themselves, depending on the part being processed, do not take more than 30 - 60 minutes in combination. And in the long run, the whole cycle of laser hair removal takes somewhere around a year, a year and a half to complete. In perspective, we can expect to be hair-free for 10-12 years. If we look at other methods like shaving, which is a daily routine for many people, it takes serious time out of our 24 hours. With the car mask, it is necessary to go every month for life if we are looking for the desired effect. So laser hair removal gives us a lot of free time and pleasure afterwards. And it's no secret that it's very fashionable right now to be hairless.

How are the types of lasers different?

There are currently three types of lasers on the market. The main one is a diode laser like we use at Vintage Dolls. The others are Alexandrite and Nd:Yag. Alexandrite laser work is seasonal only and cannot be used in the summer. There is a high probability of burns if used during the summer season. The other difference between Alexandrite and Nd:Yag is that these procedures must be performed by a medical professional. These lasers work best on fair hair and tanned skin. Unfortunately, the procedure is very painful compared to the diode laser, which can be used all year round.

In our aesthetic studio, we have 5 diode lasers and we have chosen this particular model because the pain during the procedure is very low and the result is much better. The ELYSEON PRO diode laser we work with is one of the few in the world that is also made in the summer. Customers only need to comply with one requirement. Three days before and three days after the procedure they should not be exposed to the sun. The risks with this laser are minimized.

A cycle of laser procedures

A full cycle of procedures takes a year and a half. This is the standard time, but of course there are exceptions. It depends on which part of the body the procedure is done on. If it is done on the face, the procedure must be repeated every 30 days. If done on the torso, it should be every 45-30 days.

If it is done on the legs, since there the anagen phase is the slowest, and we follow the anagen phases of the hair, then we can do them in 2-3 months of the procedures. In general, the legs take the longest period of time, but 6 to 10 treatments are standard. Of course, there can be very small exceptions to this. We have over 10,000 customers that we have followed through the entire cycle. A very small percentage of them need more procedures. But we don't rule it out as a risk because medicine is not an exact science. The good thing is that there is a high success rate with this type of laser and it is very rare that more procedures are needed. It is very rare that there is no overall effect.

I also share with you a myth that we learned about at the last training on aesthetics and dermatology. For many years, laser hair removal was considered harmful and that it caused many skin diseases. But recent research proves that the laser is even beneficial for the skin. The diode rays increase the collagen in the skin. It is rejuvenated and becomes softer. And the long-term removal of hair is a huge bonus.
